Christ Moravian Church

Membership

We welcome your consideration for membership at any time!

New members are received through various rites of the church such as the ones listed below.

  1. Persons transferring from other congregations are received by the right hand of fellowship upon receipt of a church letter or by reaffirmation of faith.
  2. Moravians practice infant baptism. Later, as a young person or an adult, the individual baptized in infancy joins by affirming his or her own faith in the rite of confirmation.
  3. Adults not baptized as infants are admitted to church membership by the sacrament of adult baptism.

We invite you to become a part of this historic church which is striving to be Christ's Church in more than name! The membership of Christ Moravian Church has its vision on the future-continuing its ministry within and beyond the local congregation as our second century of service unfolds. Our prayer is that together we be continually challenged by the consecration sermon text more than one hundred years ago: "...that Thy eyes may be open night and day toward this house, the place of which Thou hast said, 'My name shall be there...'"
